The ancient "Zhouyi.Text" has a phrase: "Yi has Tai Chi, it begets two opposites, the two opposites beget four forms, and the four forms beget the eight diagrams". This very well explains the process of the birth of the universe. Lao Tzu said, "Tao gives birth to singularity, singularity became duality, duality became triality, and triality became all things of existence." This philosophy explains the development process, starting from simplicity to complexity, from being few to abundance.

The symbols of the Eight hexagrams within the Book of Yi Jing consists of three lines, it is the main fundamental number which was highly emphasized by the book. It is the core concept of the Eight Diagrams. By stacking two sets of three lines, it combined into six lines, and formed the sixty-four hexagrams as we know. The sixty-four hexagrams are composed of different combinations of the six lines. The different combinations allow us to understand that the origin source of the universe is similar through the expression of numbers.
Blockchain is defined as a new application mode of computer technologies such as distributed data storage, point-to-point transmission, consensus mechanism, and encryption algorithms. In January 2018, the Federation of World Cultural and Art Society (Singapore) [FOWCAAS] was approved by the Singapore Registry of Societies, a division of Ministry of Home Affairs. We will hold the inauguration ceremony and formally announce the establishment of our Society on 26 August 2018.
Over the past ten years, we have conducted a series of events that triggered the founding of the society. Jason Tan, the founder of the “3 Variables International Culture Institute”, first organised a program known as Life Science Planning in 2007. Through the program, Jason Tan and Ding Jun, the Principal of the Institute, met up with participants and businesspeople around the world regardless of race and religion. Jason Tan’s Life Science Planning program has expanded and reached out to more than 70 countries. Time has helped to strengthen and foster the friendships of clients, providing the foundation for the formation of the Society.
We have a dream of gathering the people together with a common goal of forming a globalised cultural organisation, which will promote cultural exchange activities more regularly. The four most prominent events that contributed to the establishment of our society are as listed below:
Event 1
In 2015, due to frequent activities such as the International Cultural Exchange exhibition, Jason Tan and Ding Jun have made further arrangements with
A. Fan Di Ann, the President of the China Central Academy of Fine Art,
B. Stephen Leong Chun Hong, the President of the Federation of Art Societies (Singapore).
C. Dr Foo Yong Kang, the President of the Malaysian Contemporary Chinese Painting & Calligraphy Association.
This event has led to the first-ever collaboration between 15 renowned oil painters from 3 countries in Henan, China. They painted the site’s scenery as a group, spearheading cultural exchange between Asian countries. This group of painters also made another trip to Malaysia and Singapore to conclude the exchange program with another on-site scenery painting.
Event 2
In 2016, the exhibition “Nanyang Link with Huang-He Spirit Art exhibition” involving five countries was held in Singapore successfully. Khoo Seng Kong and Tan Yong Teck were invited to form the team, to organise the existing contacts and resources in various countries and region, in preparation for setting up of the society.
Event 3
“Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Return of Hong Kong and the Opening Ceremony of the International Academy of Art” was held at Hong Kong Science Park on 16 March 2017. Jason Tan, Khoo Seng Kong and Ding Jun invited 20 artists from Southeast Asia, Europe, and North and South America’s Calligraphy and Painting organisations to participate in the event in Hong Kong.
Event 4
In May 2017, we attended the establishment ceremony of the “One Belt and One Road - Overseas Chinese Calligraphers Association” in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The event exhibited the world’s largest Chinese calligraphy exhibition, and we are honoured to witness this historical moment that deepened the connection amongst the calligraphic world.
The team had successfully co-organized the Asia-Pacific Art Exchange Exhibition that involved artists from 20 countries, hosted by the Federation of Art Societies (Singapore) in 2017.
We are currently in the midst of preparing and planning the second instalment of “One Belt and One Road” to be hosted in Singapore. This event’s mission is to invite calligraphers’ associations locally and internationally, from about 45 countries around the world.
The Society has a full program laid out for the years ahead. Through this platform, we can foster closer ties with fellow cultural and art circles around the world and unite the resources of everyone. We are eager to achieve the goal of developing culture and art together with these talented individuals and forward-looking organisations.
Note: After four years of active efforts to establish the Global Chief Founding Councillor of [FOWCAAS] Grand Master Jason Tan and Acting President Dr. Janice Ding Jun and the team, especially during the epidemic period, have overcome difficulties and made unremitting efforts to communicate with cultures of various countries through online videos. Art interaction and exchange, the associations and individual elites who have actively joined the association have reached 140 countries and regions so far, and the team also hopes that the members will work together to reach 200 countries, reach new heights and set sail around the world. The seeds of culture and art are spread to all corners of the world, and everyone supports each other and joins in the grand event.

The World Complete Martial Arts Federation (WCMAF) was officially incorporated on the 29th of April 2019 in Singapore with the approval of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and Ministry of Education (MOE) (UEN: 53397218C). The Federation also acquired approval to open a Martial Arts academy as well as to organize a world-class CMA Complete Martial Arts Championship, thus allowing international martial arts culture to permanently take root in Singapore.
The incorporation of the World Complete Martial Arts Federation can be traced to Founder and Grandmaster Carter Wong in 1980. Using Shaolin Kungfu as the main foundation, he combined Wudang Qi Gong(internal breathing), Dragon Shaped Fist, Bai Mei Fist, Hong Fist, Cai Ling Fo Fist, Muay Thai, Karate, Taekwondo and Hapkido into one complete martial art and founded the Complete Martial Arts Association in Hong Kong. Subsequently he travelled to countries across the five major continents, including America, Canada, Hungary, Brazil, Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia and Singapore to promote and impart his Complete Martial Arts (CMA). Grandmaster Carter Wong has dedicated his entire life to learning from the best masters of each martial art, and continues to evolve and perfect his Complete Martial Arts into a world-class martial art by incorporating the essence of even more forms of martial arts from around the world. He has also groomed many disciples who used CMA as their foundation to win European and World Championships in Muay Thai and Kickboxing etc. To date, CMA schools have been established in 36 countries.
Before he began to groom other champion fighters, way back in 1972, Grandmaster Carter Wong had already won the 68kg Weight Class Champion Golden Belt in the “World Muay Thai Competition” held in Bangkok Thailand. In 1986 he fought at the “World Muay Thai Championship” held in Caesars Palace Las Vegas and used Complete Martial Arts to win rival Mr. Ximenge, earning himself the prestigious 75kg Weight Class Champion. Apart from promoting Complete Martial Arts to people from all over the world regardless of race or religion for over half a century, Grandmaster Carter Wong has also been invited to instruct at various government organizations. These include the Royal Hong Kong Police Force in 1979as their chief karate instructor, teaching practical martial arts to the United States Marine Corps in 1990 and the New York Police Force in 1994, Hungarian Police Force (Rendorseg) in 1999, Brazil Sao Paulo Military Police Academy in 2000 as Chief Instructor for Complete Martial Arts and the Cambodian Security Services Academy in 2002 as their VIP Honorary Principal. At the same time he has also imparted Complete Martial Arts to military police personnel in various cities in China, including Beijing, Sichuan Xi Chang, Mongolia BaoTou, Guangzhou Zhu Hai etc. Over the last 50 years he has received many awards and recognitions and recently became Honorary Advisor for the International Police Association (IPA) Macau section in 2018. In 2019, Grandmaster Carter Wong was officially appointed the Chief Advisor for International Martial Arts of the Federation of World Cultural and Art Society Singapore (FOWCAAS) with members in 75 countries. To date, his disciples and their disciples span five generations and number 280,000 people all over the world.
Grandmaster Carter Wong is also a prolific actor, having starred in over a hundred Hong Kong kungfu movies, such as “Hap Ki Do (1973)”, “When Taekwondo Strikes (1973)”, “18 Bronzemen (1973)”, “The Skyhawk (1974)”and a series of classic Shaolin Kungfu movies that were very popular and also well-received by Southeast Asian audiences. In 1973, both Grandmaster Wong and Bruce Lee were then under the same movie company Golden Harvest and Grandmaster Wong frequently had the opportunity to exchange bouts and pointers with the legendary Bruce Lee. That era also marked the beginning of Chinese Kungfu Movies gaining international recognition, and Grandmaster Wong was invited to star in Hollywood films such as Hard Case And Fist; Tiger Claws Part 3; (20th Century Fox) “Big Trouble in Little China” (1986) etc. Most notably, Grandmaster Wong was also hired as the Acrobatics and Fight Trainer for Hollywood action star Sylvester Stallone’s hit movie “Rambo 3: First Blood”.
